New general clarifications have been added for Problems 1, 2, 3 & 5.
Problem 1: Escape vroOM
December 20, 2021 C1 – Site, Setup and Competition: The competition area will be a minimum of 24’ x 20’ (7.3m x 6.1m). The vehicle(s) will be measured individually during check-in to see that they meet the 18” x 18” size limitation.
December 20, 2021 B7 – The vehicle: Teams are allowed to add or remove components from vehicles prior to attempting tasks. All vehicle configurations must be presented and reviewed during check-in for size limits.
December 20, 2021 B9 – Operating the vehicle: Two different propulsion systems must be used for required scoring runs and identified on the team list that they are the ones to be scored in D3. Additional propulsion systems may be used for other tasks. Once any propulsion system is used to attempt a task, no other propulsion system may be used for that task.
Problem 2: Odyssey ReOMvention
Dec 20, 2021 B6d – Self-replicating original threat: The threat itself must cause the addition of more of the same threat, not a team member.
Dec 20, 2021 B11 – The Two Required Animal Characters: Must be different characters from each other but they may either be similar or dissimilar species of animals from each other.
Problem 3: (Name Here): The Musical Production
Dec 20, 2021 B10b – The creative scene change: set pieces visibly used in a prior scene may be manipulated by the team in order to be used after the scene change. The scenes scored for the change must be consecutive. They may appear at any time and do not have to be the first and second scenes.
Problem 5: Life is a Circus!
Dec 20, 2021 B13a – The Mysterious Figure: Must appear in the Circus World before it appears in the real world.
